Fnatic and Vega Squadron Wins a Trip to New York
Fnatic, from the Southeast Asian (SEA) Qualifier, and Vega Squadron, from the European Qualifier, secured a trip to New York for the ESL One New York 2015 .
The Malaysian-based team beat MVP.Phoenix, 3:2, in a best of five series during the grand finals. For the European Qualifier, Vega Squadron took down Ninjas in Pajamas (NiP), 3:1. Both teams will represent their region in the main event of ESL One New York in Madison’s Square Garden Theater, New York on October 3-4.
Teams from all regions of the world will compete for over $250,000 (P11.7 million) prizepool. Four teams – Secret, CDEC and Virtus Pro – were directly invited in the tournament. The last team that will receive an invite is still to be announced along with the schedule for the Chinese and North American Qualifiers.
