MPGL Philippines, Southeast Asia Grand Finals Details Released
As this season’s monthly tournament is about to end, Mineski announced that the Grand Finals of the Gigabyte Mineski Pro Gaming League (MPGL) Leg 6 is set to happen this Nov. 29-30, 2014 at the Skydome SM City North EDSA.
MGPL is a monthly tournament from one of the largest eSports organization in the Philippines: Mineski. The organization expanded branches throughout Southeast Asia, thus adding MPGL Southeast Asia in the set of tournaments where the best teams from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Brunei, Laos, East Timor and Vietnam, as well as teams from the open qualifiers which consists of Australia, India Japan and Korea will battle it out to be the best Dota 2 team in the region.
Teams will compete for the $22,200 or P1 million base prize pool. Fans and supporters may increase the total purse in four ways: donating at Mineski.net, purchasing the in-game MPGL Southeast Asia Dota 2 ticket, buying from the Secretshop.ph online store and participating in different Mineski Infinity Cybercafe promos.
Prize Pool Distribution:
1st Place – $12,000 (~P537,480) + 60% of contribution pool
2nd Place – $5,000 (~P223,950) + 25% of contribution pool
3rd Place – $3,000(~P134,340) + 15% of contribution pool
Contribution as of Oct. 21, 2014 (12 midnight) is P407,654 ($9,113.67).

Teams Awake and iDEAL Gigabyte, which ranked 2nd and 3rd in MPGL Thailand respectively, also grabbed slots in the Grand Finals.
The recently concluded MPGL Wild Card at Pinoy Gaming Festival determined the last two teams who will join the fray in the MPGL VI Philippine Finals that will happen at the eSports and Gaming Summit.
With the recent match-fixing incident, 2nd and 3rd in the overall rankings, MSI.EvoGT and Mineski Dota, will not be able to compete as their current rosters are in flux.
The teams who will be battling on the road to the Grand Finals are:

The last slot will be determined after a match between Skyville and Pacific 1.
Since IAP.Execration was already seeded for the main event, the 2nd and 3rd placer in the MPGL Finals will take thetwo spots for the Grand Finals.
There will also a Southeast Asia Wild Card for the 2nd and 3rd placer in the regional rankings. This will be played on Nov. 3-14 and only one team will be fortunate enough to advance in the Grand Finals.

The tickets will be sold at SM ticket outlets nationwide.
Tickets are composed of VIP, Gold and General Admission. Each category consists of different privileges and freebies.
