The BlizzCon Hearthstone World Championships is set in November which means there is a Regional qualifiers currently happening around the world .
Southeast Asia: Lan “Neilyo” Tran was crowned as the Southeast Asian representative after winning at the Meralco Theater in the Philippines. Read more here.
Korea: Taesang and Hakjun “Kranich” Baek also qualified after landing in the top two spot in the Korean regionals.

North America: Cloud9.G2A’s Cong “StrifeCro“ Shu and Tempo Storm’s George “Hyped” Maganzini were eliminated. Hyped faced a team-kill from Tempo Storm’s owner Andrey “Reynad” Yanyuk on a Patron Warrior mirror. It was one of the very notable game-changer during the match.

The Philippines hosted the Hearthstone World Championship Southeast Asia Finals. The success of the event shows that eSports is huge in the SEA region.

The eSports Arena was announced and will be hosted by Brian “Kibler” Kibler with a $25,000 (Php 1.1 million~) prize pool. Confirmed event attendees are Reynad, Trump, Firebat and Amaz. Read more here.
