The Dota 2 Frankfurt Major Teams Announced!
Dota 2 fans won’t have to wait too long as the next big tournament is right around the corner. The Frankfurt Major brings with it the glitz and the glamour of something as grand as The International. The Frankfurt Major is the first of the three upcoming Dota 2 majors to be organized by Valve. This tournament will feature 16 of the best teams around the world vying for top honors in a format similar to The International. The eight directly invited teams have been announced.
The other eight teams will be determined from the results of the regional qualifiers. Two from North America, two from China, two from Southeast Asia and two from Europe. The qualifiers will start next week on Oct. 10-13. Those who qualify will then duke it out with the other eight teams at the Main Event this coming November at the Festhalle Messe in beautiful Frankfurt, Germany. The first ever Dota 2 Major will feature a respectable prize pool of $3,000,000 (P139 million~) so all teams will definitely be giving it their all.
