Goblak Leaves VP.Polar to Join Na’Vi
Virtus Pro confirmed that Artur “Goblak” Kostenko, founder and captain of their alternate squad VP.Polar, has left the team to join Na’Vi (Natus Vincere).
As rumors of roster changes circulated suggesting that Artem “fng” Barshack would be removed from Na’Vi following a string of lackluster tournament finishes, Virtus Pro announced that Goblak has indeed left their squad to join Na’Vi.
Although no official information has come out from Na’Vi’s camp, Virtus Pro said that they are sad to see Goblak go but have nonetheless supported his decision to leave.
During The International (TI) 4, Goblak took a brief stint as coach for Na’Vi for the event. Shortly after TI 4, Goblak formed NVMI (Nam vezet – mi igraem (Нам везет – мы играем) meaning “we’re lucky – we’re playing”) which was later renamed to VP.Polar after it got picked up by Virtus Pro.
Goblak also had prior connections to Na’Vi, serving as their drafter and team member in 2010 under their DotA 1 squad.
