The schedule of DH Cluj is different from the previous majors as the tournament is designed to last for five days. In comparison, ESL Katowice 2015 lasted for four days, while DreamHack Winter 2014 went on for three days.
In addition, the format has been changed a tweaked a little bit in order for teams to allow to have a fair fight on their way to the playoffs by making the decider match into a best-of-three format instead of the traditional best-of-one format that was used in past majors. This ensures that teams will play their hearts out to get the 1st seed in their group: After all, the teams in the Winners’ Match only need to win one map in order to go to the quarterfinals.
The draws for the group stage of the tournament have not been released as of press time.
*All times have been set to Philippine Standard Time.
