Good evening!
Good evening too!
Thanks for accepting our interview.
It was a pleasure for me to do so.
Can you please introduce yourself to our dear readers?
I am Jimmy Huang and I am the Philippine Sales Manager of MSI. I specialize in video cards and motherboards. I generally coordinate the sales of these products here in the country.
On the event
What do you think about the general atmosphere of the event?
It is extremely good, it is extremely crowded and it is amazing to see the various games, teams and communities represented here at this event.
In addition, it feels great to see people from all walks of life come to the event; in the past, gaming was just considered as a phenomenon that is restricted to the younger generation.
Today, visitors ranging from young children to senior people come to these kind of events and I am glad to see diverse kinds of people coming in order to enjoy games and life.
As a person, what do you feel about the event?
Compared to last year’s edition, this one is way, way better and bigger. In addition, there are more game publishers and exhibitors at this event in comparison to last year – and bigger titles from major gaming companies are here to show their products this year!
I am generally happy overall at the way they have run this one thus far.
It would be better though if they make this into a three-day event. International gaming conventions and/or Esports competitions are done within a minimum span of three days.
On Esports and future plans
Do you think the future of Esports will be bright?
Yes, I sincerely believe that it will be bright. Even mobile users use their handheld devices to play competitive games – and gaming is now completely on a different level due to the fact that the sector grows by leaps and bounds as each day passes.
Whether it is in the form of the competitive scene or just casual gamers playing against each other, the fact can’t be denied that the industry is growing at a really fast day and I guess that is a very positive sign for the years to come.
What are your plans here in the Philippines as far as MSI is concerned?
We plan to bring good product lines and deliver excellent service in order to reach out to the rapidly-growing gaming trend here, as well as to empower electronic sports teams and to help other gaming communities grow here in this country.
Any final words to say?
To all gamers out there, no matter whether you are casual or interested in Esports, please continue supporting MSI!
With those words, the interview with Mr. Huang ends.
He believes that the future is promising as far as games and Esports are concerned and that it is good to see lots of people supporting games and the gaming industry as each day passes!
Fingers crossed then!
