Watch the World Championship Finals of League of Legends at SM North EDSA on Halloween!
The month-long slog to the final podium comes to a head this October 31, 2015 as the finals of the League of Legends 2015 World Championship converges in Berlin, Germany.
At this time of year, two years ago, SK Telecom T1 took home the Summoner’s Cup against China’s Royal Club. In that moment, the legend of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok was solidified. Now, on Halloween, fans of the world’s most popular videogame and eSports title, League of Legends, will watch history be remade as SKT looks to bag their second world title against fellow Korean team KOO Tigers.
This year’s grand tournament featured a myriad of storylines that both enthralled and decimated fans of the world’s most popular eSports title. Who can forget the meteoric rise of European team Fnatic, who bagged an impressive perfect Summer Split win-record on the way to the World Championship? Or the harrowing season that the North American powerhouse team Cloud 9 had to go through in order to make it to the League’s biggest stage?
This weekend, all of these stories will come to a satisfying conclusion, along with answering some burning questions: Who is the best team out of Korea? Will SKT be the first team in League history to bag a second world title? Will KOO triumph against the team that has beaten them nine consecutive times in Korea?
This year’s Worlds Finals will be a dazzling spectacle of skill and high-level competitive League of Legends. If you are looking to watch the games live and make a few friends in the process, you should check out the Rumble Royale Worlds Viewing Party at the SM North EDSA Cinema 8 this weekend!
