Group Stages Aftermath: Shanghai Majors Main Event Bracket
There were a lot surprises and upsets in the beginning of the Group Stage of the Shanghai Major. Started last February 25, the 16 teams are now ready for the main event.
The underdogs did it again. MVP.Phoenix topped the Group A ranks undefeated. The Korean Team left everyone in awe after they beat the top Chinese team, EHOME.cn and Team Secret 2-0. They will be playing against LGD in the upper bracket
Meanwhile, Team Secret managed to place second after they defeated EHOME.cn in the Group Stage lower bracket. They will be plotting their revenge against OG after the team took their victory during the Frankfurt Major. The two Chinese teams, EHOME.cn and CDEC, will have a long and more difficult journey to the Grand Finals after they placed last in the Group Stage.
Alliance met their fans’ expectation and dominated Group B. Team Fnatic outperformed the rest of the teams in the group including Vici Gaming who had an underwhelming performance. The Southeast Asian team will advance to the upper bracket following Alliance.
Joining Vici Gaming is Team Spirit. The European team fell short in ranking second after Fnatic took game three during the Group Stage lower bracket. You can view the bracket here.
