Team Liquid Sweeps EG With Finesse

Game one was a decisive win for Team Liquid as MinD_Control’s Nature’s Prophet was determined the game MVP for pushing the tier 2 and tier 3 bottom towers all the way to the victory.
With one win down, Team Liquid could afford to pick an unconventional draft but in a surprising move, Evil Geniuses try something new. Liquid secures an Ursa and Phoenx pick, complemented by a Nyx Assassin, Death Prophet, and a Nature’s Prophet again. Evil Geniuses settle with Enigma, Witch Doctor, and Dark Seer, followed by a Sumail Zeus and Arteezy Naga Siren.
Game two was a showcase of Team Liquid’s capabilities as a team as well as a dominating display of Good Dota over Evil Geniuses nonetheless.
An early game courier snipe cripples the midlane Zeus while pickoff in all lines give space for Ursa to claim the Aegis, eventually giving way to pressure from all sides, leaving the Evil Geniuses to band together. Evil Geniuses could not simply find an answer to the pressure.
At 26 minutes, Liquid leads with 20,000 gold, and at a strategic advantage due to their lineup, they slowly pick off the towers leading to the Radiant base. EG is on tilt. At 31 minutes, Evil Geniuses’ courier fall to dire creeps carrying a recipe for Manta Style and Liquid rushes on top. The Evil Geniuses simply could not recover at all and Liquid played almost flawlessly, leaving no space for mistakes that Evil Geniuses could exploit.
Team Liquid advances to face off Team Secret in the Grand Finals, happening later today, March 6. Evil Geniuses goes home with third place.
