120 Cards Incoming for Hearthstone’s First Expansion: Goblins Versus Gnomes!
Big news was revealed at Blizzcon today for fans of Blizzard’s digital collectible card game, Hearthstone. Players can now look forward to a fresh 120 cards and other goodies to hit their servers come December.
Titled Goblins Vs. Gnomes, the new 120-card expansion will feature a slew of brand new cards, including new minion types, class cards and more to shake up the existing card pool and rattle the online metagame.
The new cards will be made available via card packs sold at the Innkeeper’s online store. They will also be enabled for Arena play.
At first glance, the set will feature more RNG (Random Number Generator: a term used to describe randomness) mechanics as the new — often goblin-themed — cards represent chaotic and unpredictable effects on the battlefield while the Gnomes faction will offer cards that have synergy with Mechs and other clockwork contraptions.
Apart from new cards, the December release will also feature a new Spectator Mode for players and their friends. Enabled by default, friends can now view each others’ games and share in their glory or defeat.
