ESL One Manila Announces Participating Teams
The Electronic Sports League (ESL) has announced the full list of teams that will take part in ESL One Manila on their official Facebook Event page.
Joining invited teams Team Secret, Liquid and EHOME from their respective qualifiers are Complexity, Empire, Mineski, Wings and Fnatic, who are the last team to qualify after beating fellow Malaysian side WG.Unity, 3-0.
In relation to this, Empire will come to Manila with a revamped roster despite having their former lineup disbanded due to a rule which states that “team licenses to ESL competitions get assigned to the organisation they are playing for.”
However, according to a Reddit post by ESL Vice-President for Pro Gaming, Product and Content, James “Kennigit” Lampkin, team slots for tournaments will be re-evaluated “if a team changes more than 3 players after qualifying their spot”.
ESL One Manila will be held between April 22-24 this year at the Mall of Asia (MoA) Arena.
