Imperium Pro Team Secures Playoffs Spot in Garena Premier League

IPT will go to the playoffs as the second seed for the playoffs stage. Even though both IPT and Bangkok Titans have finished with a record of 4-1 in the round robin bracket, the latter team will advance as the first seed by virtue of having a better head-to-head record..
They will fight against Saigon Jokers in the semi-finals of the GPL tomorrow, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. PHT.
Imperium Pro Team (IPT) takes their spot in the playoffs of Garena Premier League (GPL) Spring 2016 after they have beaten Kanaya Gaming in the third day of the tournament group stage.
Finishing with a 4-1 record, IPT won against Rigel and Kuala Lumpur Hunters on the first day to get a clean 2-0 slate. In the second day, they faced Bangkok Titans, who were the defending champions from the previous season, as well as Saigon Jokers, who represented the SEA region during Season 2 of the LoL World Championships.
The Filipino side lost their match against the Thais; however, they were able to secure a win against the Vietnamese side in order to make it 3-1 at the end of the second day.
Imperium Pro Team has won the Pro Gaming Series (PGS) Spring Split last March 20, 2016, after sweeping Mineski, 3-0.
