Blizzard Announces Details for the 2016 Summer Season
After the conclusion of the 2016 Spring Global Championships, Blizzard announces a new season for the Heroes of the Storm (HotS) competitive circuit.

With $1.2 million in the line, the 2016 HotS Summer Season will feature ten events all over world to conclude with the Summer Global Championships to be held at DreamHack Winter between June 18-20 later this year.
Southeast Asia will also have its own tournament, called the “Summer Regionals”, where the best HotS teams from Southeast Asia will fight for the right to represent the region at the Summer Global Championships, as well as the lion’s share of the $100,000 prize pool.

Philippine team Renovatio was the last Southeast Asian representative to the Global Championships, finishing joint 9th-12th place in the process.
