VG.Reborn-ed in Starladder
Formerly known as Vici Gaming Potential, Vici Gaming Reborn (VG.REBORN.Reborn) bagged their first premier title after defeating Ukrainian team, Na’Vi, 3-1 in Starladder i-League Invitational.
The Chinese team took their revenge against Na’Vi after they were defeated by the team in the semi-finals and placed them in the lower bracket. VG.Reborn climbed their way back up and defeated LGD Gaming. They will take home $45,000 (Php 2 million~).
Well played Na’Vi
It might have been a good boost for Na’Vi. After being stagnant in terms of performance and accomplishments, they performed well during the series. They won every match in the winner bracket and defeated top tier teams including OG, champions of the Frankfurt Major.
They won the most titles for Starladder starting from season 2, had four consecutive wins and has a total of six titles. In the meantime, Na’Vi will continue to climb back up in the competitive scene.
Feels like 2012?
The road of VG.Reborn and Na’Vi was similar to what happened during the International 2012. Invitus Gaming had the same journey: starting from the winner bracket, getting defeat by Na’Vi down to the lower bracket and getting their revenge in the Grand Finals.
