Smash Summit 2: Armada Wins Grand Finals 3-1 Over Hungrybox
Despite having the need to beat Juan “Liquid | Hungrybox” Debiedma twice coming from the losers bracket, Adam “Alliance | Armada” Lindgren managed to defend his title as the Smash Summit invitational champion in two grand finals sets, 3-2 and 3-1 respectively.

Armada is generally considered to be one of, if not the best Super Smash Bros. Melee player in the world based on his 1st place ranking on 2015’s SSBMRank. Despite this, he was sent into the loser’s bracket of the 16 man invitational tournament in winner’s semifinals by Jason “COG MVG | Mew2King” Zimmerman in a 3-0 sweep between the latter’s Marth and the former’s Peach.

In his loser’s bracket run, he took out Sheik specialist DaJuan “WFX | Shroomed” McDaniel and Falco specialist Joseph “C9 | Mango” Marquez before running back his set with Mew2King (who chose his Sheik and Fox) 3-0. Overall, Armada finished 1st , with Hungrybox coming in at 2nd and Mew2King at 3rd.
The next tournament these top-end level players will be attending is the Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo in Toronto, Canada on April 29.
