Of note are groups A and B, featuring some match-ups that have gathered steam in the past few months.

OG cut Newbee’s record for longest match-streak since The Alliance barely a few weeks ago at the EPICENTER Moscow tournament. They are grouped with perennial tournament contenders Complexity and Team Empire, whose new line-up is showing promise in European online qualifiers, defeating CIS region teams with frequency.

Group B is shaping up to be a grudge match between Digital Chaos and Team Secret. Prior to the roster lock for the Manila Major, Team Secret’s midlaner Aliwi “w33” Omar was removed from the Shanghai Major winning line-up with only a few days left to transfer to another stable team. He was picked up by Digital Chaos at the eleventh hour. The Manila Major will be the first time both teams will meet each other in an official tournament.
