Two Finalists of The Summit 2 LAN Finals Revealed
After a series of action-packed matches today, two teams will go to The Summit 2 LAN finals in Los Angeles.
The first finalist, First Departure, went the full distance in their finals match against Invasion, who has just qualified for the Synergy League LAN finals in Moscow, Russia. After losing the first two games, Meracle and co. decided to step up their gameplay, winning the next three maps to give the team a ticket to represent the Southeast Asian region in the finals.
The second finalist, Team Secret, took three straight games against Cloud9 in order to secure the European slot.
Evil Geniuses, as the winner of the first edition, has already been invited to the LAN Finals. The last three slots will be filled by the winner of the Chinese qualifiers, the winner of the American qualifiers and the winner of the compendium voting round.
The finals will be held from Dec. 3 to 7 at Beyond The Summit’s casting house and studio. It currently boasts a prize pool of $284,000.
