After an intense three-map series, Chinese side LGD-Gaming win against crowd favorites MVP.Phoenix in order to secure a top four finish at the Manila Major as well as a chance to continue their journey in the lower bracket.

The first game ws a bloodbath as LGD racked up 25 kills in order to finish the game at 33 minutes. Sun “Agressif” Zheng and Lu “Maybe” Yao showed amazing performances on that map as they swept the Koreans off the floor with their relentless agression.

MVP.Phoenix went back in the second game with their magnificent teamfight execution as they proceeded to shut down Agressif’s Anti-Mage in order to allow more time for Kim “QO” Seon-yeop’s Spectre to farm the map. By the end of the mid-game, the Koreans were simply unstoppable as they destroyed the opposition outright.

In the third game, LGD dominated the laning phase; however, the Korean side showed sides of life beyond the 25-minute mark as they took a couple of impressive clashes. In the end, experience and patience previaled as LGD took the series after a 49-minute game in order to advance to the next round to face Western side Liquid.

With this result, MVP.Phoenix finish joint 5th/6th place along with Southeast Asian squad Fnatic, getting $202,000 (~P9.5 million) for their great run at the Dota 2 major.
