In a departure from previous Valve events, only six teams have been directly invited to Seattle. All of the Manila Major’s top 4 were invited, as well as 5th-6th place finisher MVP Phoenix and 7th-8th place finisher Natus Vincere. Notably absent are the teams they tied with, Fnatic and Vici Gaming Reborn respectively, who will be competing in the regional qualifiers instead.
