Open Qualifiers for The International 2016 kick off today

The Open Qualifiers for The International 2016 begin today as teams thousands of aspiring teams fight their way into the Main Regional Qualifiers and for the chance to make it to compete at Seattle for the main event this August.
The Qualifiers are split into two phases with two days of play each, with the first qualifier on June 21 and 22 and the second from June 23 to 24.
In the first day of each qualifier phase, teams will have to play through the following rounds: Round of 1024, Round of 512, Round of 256, Round of 128, Round of 64, and Round of 32, all in grueling best-of-one (BO1) matches.
In the second day, teams will then have to go through the Round of 16 and Round of 8 in more BO1s, and then face off in best-of-three (BO3) Semi-Finals. Finally, BO3 Finals will decide which teams will move on to the Main Regional Qualifiers for a chance to participate in TI6.
Notable teams in the Open Qualifiers include:
Americas: The International 2015 defending champions Evil Geniuses, caster-analyst stack Vegetable Esports Club, and Brazilian teams paiN Gaming and EverNova
Europe: Kaipi, CIS squads Polarity and Team Spirit, along with the new roster of Team Secret.
South East Asia: squad TNC Gaming, with famed ‘Dota mercenary’ Jimmy “Demon” Ho, and Malaysian stack Mineski-X for Southeast Asia.
China: Vici Gaming, with Chinese veterans Liu “Sylar” Jiajun, Chen “Cty”’ Tianyu, Bai “ROTK”’ Fan, and Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei in its roster, along with CDEC.Avenger.
The Americas, Europe, and SEA Open Qualifiers are organized by FACEit while Perfect World will be in charge of the China Open Qualifiers.
