Greetings, summoners. Patch 4.19 hits Philippine servers today, and it is the last patch for the Season 4 proper. This means that today is your last shot at getting to the next tier for the end of season rewards.

The patch itself doesn’t offer much in terms of big gameplay changes, but contains a lot of behind-the-scenes content for the big Summoner’s Rift overhaul that will be coming soon. For a sneak peek at what the finished product will look like, you can check out Riot’s interactive map.

Let’s waste no time in giving you a quick rundown of what 4.19 will bring.

FEATURED STORIES

The Good

Buffs and bug fixes abound in 4.19 as Riot attempts to clean up its champion pool for the new season.

Singed

The Mad Chemist’s visual makeover comes ahead of the new Summoner’s Rift. Players can now enjoy running around and spreading poison in style. On top of that, Singed gets a new root mechanic if he uses Fling to send an opponent into his Mega Adhesive, as well as a buff to his ultimate, Insanity Potion.

Sion

Sion’s remake is still being fine-tuned as his HP per level is being bumped up, and his mana costs changed ever so slightly. Add in some other quality of life changes to his revive passive, and Decimating Smash, as well as more passive health gain on his Soul Furnace, and the Undead Abomination is looking even more menacing than ever.

Bug Fixes – A number of champions had bugs in their kits ironed out, including but not limited to Azir, Fiddlesticks, Pantheon, Vi and Warwick.

The Bad

The nerf hammer comes down on some unfortunate champions in Riot’s ever revolving door of ‘metagame’ picks.

Lucian

Lucian’s been sitting comfortably near the top of the AD Carry food chain for a while now, even with his adjustments in recent patches. Now the AD ratio of his Ardent Blaze is being removed, although you get more on-hit movement speed per level. The cooldown of The Culling is going up across the board, almost doubling by its third rank.

Ryze

Ryze’s dominant performances in the top lane seem to be coming to an end. Ryze’s bread and butter skill, Overload, is getting a substantial damage reduction at all ranks. Couple this with the incoming change of Doran’s Shield also blocking damage for single target spells, painting a dark future for the Rogue Mage.

Zilean

This is it, summoners. The last of the global passives dies here as Zilean’s experience boost is restricted to a local range. This has been a long time coming as Riot has been cutting out map-wide abilities for quite some time now to emphasize the importance of rotations and grouping up.

The Pretty

Singed isn’t the only one enjoying a new look. Click the icons below to view the new official splash arts for a good number of champions.
