The Summit 6 Tournament Invited Teams Announced
Beyond the Summit has announced The Summit 6, a Dota 2 LAN event to take place November 16-20 in Los Angeles, California.
The Summit is one of Dota 2’s most unique LAN tournaments as teams compete inside of the Beyond the Summit studios in a decidedly laid-back environment; past Summit tournaments featured the world’s best players commentating on-going matches from the comfort of sofas, beer and pizza in hand. featuring some of the world’s best teams.
The teams will compete for a $100,000 prize pool. Past Summit tournaments also included crowd-funding options to raise the pot.
The Summit 6 invited teams includes this year’s The International winners Wings Gamings and runner-ups Digital Chaos. TI5 Champions and MDL 2 Autumn Champions Evil Genius and Two-time 2015-2016 Season Major Champions OG round-out the invited list.
The remaining four slots will be filled through qualifier events in October.
The International 6 winners Wings Gaming and finalists Digital Chaos have received direct invites to the competition, along with TI 5 and 2016 MarsTV Dota 2 League Autumn winners Evil Geniuses and Europe’s OG. The remaining four spots will be filled through qualifier events which begin in October.
