Looks like Mineski Dota is serious about the coming Boston Major as they are looking to bolster their team with yet more foreign talents.

Anthony “scantzor” Hodgson will be Mineski Dota’s new coach for the remainder of the season, said the caster/analyst on his Twitter page.

Scantzor has served in the Dota 2 community in a variety of roles over the years, starting as a competitive Dota 2 player from his home country of South Africa. In recent years, he has been an analyst and caster of many regional games, with a specialty in covering Chinese and Southeast Asian team.

Scantzor has also served as a writer for many Dota 2 outlets, most notably ESPN and Splyce. He also contributes to datdota. com, a database of important analytical data for Dota 2 professional matches.

Mineski Dota’s current roster includes Singaporean Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen along with another addition to their core team, Ralph Richard “RR” Peñano and former Rave player Michael “Ninjaboogie” Ross. Mineski Dota recently lost to Execration in The Summit 6 SEA qualifiers, but showed strong drafting discipline despite the 1-2 result.

Mineski made the the Fall Major at Frankfurt last year on the back of an all-Filipino cast. Will this year’s roster and coach install Mineski back into international form?
