Virtus Pro, Ninjas and Pyjamas to Clash at ELEAGUE’s Season 2 Group B
ELEAGUE, the esports organization created by Turner and WME | IMG, will kickoff its highly-anticipated Group B tomorrow, featuring Season 1 champion Virtus.pro along with perennial Counter-Strike: Global Offensive superstar teams Ninjas in Pyjamas, G2 Esports and rising star Echo Fox going head-to-head for a chance to join FaZe Clan and mousesports in the ELEAGUE Season 2 playoffs.
Friday’s early matches will see Virtus.pro battle against North American upstart Echo Fox, while fan favorites Ninjas in Pyjamas will square off against French superstars G2 Esports for a second consecutive season. Coverage begins tomorrow at 6 p.m. on Twitch, streaming live at www.twitch.tv/eleaguetv. The winners of the initial matches will face off live on TBS at 10 p.m. In addition to Friday’s coverage, Group B’s Day 2 finals will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, with coverage on Twitch beginning at 2 p.m.
Last week, ELEAGUE Season 2 got off to an impressive start as mousesports rolled through both Immortals and Cloud 9 to win the upper bracket, while FaZe Clan avenged its upper bracket defeat on Friday against Cloud 9 by defeating the popular North American team in the lower bracket finals to claim the final spot in the ELEAGUE Season 2 playoffs.
