TSM Officially Accepts IEM Oakland Invitation
TSM, citing fortunate circumstances, announced on their site that they will be going to the IEM Oakland 2016.
Despite Yiliang Peter “DoubleLift” Peng, the team’s AD Carry, taking a break from the competitive scene, TSM says that “an unexpected number of high profile veterans have reached out to the organization to indicate their desire to play with us.”
“‘A new roster’ will compete in the tournament but changes, as always, are expected before the 2017 Spring Split,” the statement read.
TSM’s good news comes after Immortals and Splyce’ announcements that they will be unable to play in the tournament. Both teams cite the need for reflection and rest before the start of the next competitive season.
TSM will be competing against Flash Wolves, Unicorns of Love, INTZ, Chiefs and three (3) more unannounced teams for the $ 100, 000 prize pool. IEM Oakland 2016 starts on Nov 19 and will be held at The Oracle Arena.
UPDATE: Unicorns of Love (UoL) beats TSM in the semifinals and Flash Wolves in the Finals. UoL goes home with the championship and $ 50, 000.
