Execration, Mineski, Secret and EHOME.X in the Semis of ASUS ROG Malaysia
After two days of play, the named teams are in the final four of the ASUS ROG Malaysia tournament.
Execration and Mineski, both Filipino teams and among the favorites to win the ASUS ROG Malaysia finale, stormed through their competition today to grab top 4 spots in the tournament.
Execration had an easier match through to the semis, facing semi-pro competition in Natural 9 and MOL and dropping only 1 games in two Best-of-three series.
Mineski on the other hand faced EHOME.X and prevailed 2-1 to grab their spot in the Top 8.
Tomorrow, Mineski faces Secret in the Semi-finals while Execration will go up against EHOME.X.
Fnatic Woes
Fnatic made the Top 8 of the tournament but lost in the quarterfinal round to EHOME.X, 2-0. Fnatic was one of the initial invited teams to the event, along with Team Secret.
While their group stages showed a lot of promise, 2-0ing semi-pro teams, the mixed Malaysian, American and Filipino squad could not overcome their Chinese counterparts.
They give up the win to EHOME.X, who lost all nine of their Boston Major China qualifier games.
