Raven, Eyyou and DeMoN are Out of Fnatic
Fnatic have announced that they have parted ways Nico “eyyou” Barcelon, Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto and Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho, citing poor results and a clear need for a redirection.
Fnatic’s post The International 6 roster shuffle saw Djardel Jicko B. “DJ” Mampusti leaving for Execration and Zheng “MidOne” Yeik Nai joining Team Secret. Adam “343” Shah, their support player, also took a brief respite from competitive Dota.
With three players leaving the organization, Fnatic promises to return for the new year with a new line-up built around Malaysian veterans Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung and Chong Xin “Ohaiyo” Khoo.
Fnatic finished Top 4 at TI6, with Eyyou, Raven and DeMoN hailing from the Top 8 finishing TNC Pro Team. Despite their successful 2015-2016 season runs, Fnatic were unable to make headway with their roster, bowing out early in key international qualifiers for bigger events.
“With such a weighty reshuffle after the Major teething problems were to be expected, but as progress has stuttered it is clear that a new direction is needed,” said the organization in a statement.
Fnatic also published statements from the released players:
Jimmy “Demon” Ho
The change within the team was inevitable with all of our results. Plans did not work out as they were intended and it’s time to start a new chapter. Thank you Fnatic for giving me the opportunity but now I’ll be open as a free agent and looking for a new team. With that being said, I’m now moving back to the USA.Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto
I would like to thank Fnatic for everything. I had a really great time and I would like to thank Mushi because he really taught me a lot and I wish them all the best.Nico “eyyou” Barcelon
First of all I would like to thank the whole Fnatic team and management for the opportunity that they’ve given to me, even though we didn’t get a good result for the past 2 months of playing as a team.
I am very thankful for all the experience and knowledge that the team gave me as an individual ingame and outside the game.
I wish all the best for everyone.
DeMoN has returned to the US to spend the holidays with family, while Raven and Eyyou have returned to the Philippines. Eyyou has reportedly began looking for a team to join for the upcoming majors season, though nothing concrete has come of it so far.
