Rampage 2017: More Than Just Gaming

The country’s premier League of Legends (LoL) tournament is now heading to its second season.

Rampage 2017 pits two of the Philippine’s top LoL teams head-to-head to represent the country for international tournaments in the Bacchus Garena Pro Gaming Series 2017 Summer Split this July 30 at the World Trade Center.

The defending champion from the previous season, Team Mineski, will go up against the undefeated Team Manila Eagles in a clash that may break Team Manila Eagles win streak, or Mineski’s chance to represent the country once more.

Mineski earned its spot after defeating Imperium Pro Team in the semifinals, while Team Manila Eagles swept the series with 14 games and no loss.

The teams competing under the Pro Gaming Series will also receive a PHP15,000 salary throughout the season.

Other than the League of Legends showdown, Rampage 2017 will feature a cosplay competition featuring the participant’s favorite LoL hero, a merchandise caravan which also encourages independent sellers to show their merch, a LAN party for players, and a Celebrity Showmatch between celebrities who will also play LoL but for a cause: to build a classroom.

Models, actors, and Internet personalities will play LoL against each other to help build a classroom under Generation Hope’s “Hope In A Bottle” program where their bottled water is used to fund public school classrooms, they will also provide bottled water throughout the event with the proceeds going to the classrooms they have pledged to.

On top of this, certain conditions in the Celebrity Showmatch will help add more funds to the cause.

Music will also be provided by rock bands Rocksteddy, and Mayonnaise.
