A P5 Million Prizepool Headlines the SNK World Championship for KOF XIV and Samurai Shodown

SNK fans, the 2019 – 2020 season is your time to shine.

A 10 million Japanese Yen prize pool (₱5 million) awaits top placers at the 2020 SNK World Championship. Featuring King of Fighters XIV and the recently-released Samurai Shodown, the event will take place on March 28 -29, 2020 in Tokyo, Japan and serve as the culmination of a circuit held before it.

According to the official press release, details for the circuit are still pending — though there will be an assured 16 slots per title. The qualification process looks to be relatively straight forward, as per the snippet from SNK below:

“Competing in authorized major fighting game tournaments such as SWC qualifier tournaments in each region, and the winners of each tournament will be given the spot in the final tournament.”
