Finger Clickin’ Good: KFC Announces Release of Colonel Sanders-Branded Dating Sim/Visual Novel
Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) — an American fast-food restaurant chain with over 22,000 branches globally and 200 in the Philippines — announced last September 11 via their official Twitter that they will be releasing a game; specifically, a visual novel appropriately titled: I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator, slated to be released this September 24 on Steam.
The rumors are true, we are making a game where you can date Colonel Sanders. Give us a few weeks… we’re still coding some chicken. Available Sept. 24th on Steam.

The premise of I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator, according to its Steam page, “follows you, a promising culinary student, as you try to date your classmate, Colonel Sanders”. It features “multiple hours of play-through”, nine lovable characters — including a professor who is a chef hat-wearing dog — “a dateable Colonel Sanders”, cooking battles and a secret ending. Despite the absurd premise, the Steam page and trailer seem to point to this being a legitimate visual novel with serious hours and effort put into it.
The game is being developed by Psyop, who also created visual novel Camp W and virtual reality-supported fortune teller game Kismet; notably, they’ve worked with Nike in their “Dream Crazy” campaign with Colin Kaepernick.
