Following Riot’s competitive ruling on MEGA Esports, the organization has released a statement replying to the ban defending themselves against the allegations.

In the response, MEGA Bangkok Titans clarifies that they allegedly have only been a few months behind on salary payments in contrast with Riot’s findings that listed MEGA not paying its players for over a year. The Southeast Asian organization added that they even gave their players bonuses for making it to Worlds and cited that Riot did not “try to work with our [MEGA] organization or find ways to help our players, but to summarily dismiss us from the league.”

Lastly, MEGA called out Riot for its hypocrisy stating that they have not even been paid their prize money worth $12,500 for MSI 2019 last May. You can find their full response on their Facebook page.
