According to Evojapan.net, the Evo Japan championship series will only be getting a special edition controller for winning the biggest Smash tournament of all time.
The golden Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with a golden Smash logo is exclusive to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, while Tekken and Street Fighter will be having a prize pool of around $18, 154. The news adds to Nintendo’s history of lack of support for their esports titles.
In Evo 2019, the champion of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate took home around $50,000 less compared to Street Fighter V. Evo Japan 2020 will take place on the 24th to the 26th of January.
