AFK Creators Host Legends of Runeterra Tournament: EU Creators Invitational

Legends of Runeterra, Riot Games’ titular card game, had its first steps into esports with the Legends of Runeterra EU Creators Invitational held by AFK Creator last March 7, 2020.
In the invitational, twenty-four Master-tier players from Europe competed for a prize pool of around $1000 and a set of peripherals. The winner of the invitational Tilted_22 prepared three standard decks that were fairly popular in the ladder with I/F Elusives, Rally Mistwraiths, and an Ezreal combo.
Legends of Runeterra released last January 24, 2020 and has stirred a ton of commotion in the collectible card game genre competing with staples such as Hearthstone and Magic: the Gathering. Only time will tell if Legends of Runeterra can rise in popularity in the card game genre when it moves past its beta lunch sometime in the future.
