PlayStation 5 Will Be Backwards-Compatible With PS4 Games

In a Road to PS5 conference with the playstation’s lead architecture Mark Cerny, Sony revealed the next-gen console’s official specs and features in anticipation for its holiday release later this year.
Although rumored beforehand, Cerny confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will be backwards-compatible with PS4 games which will allow users to continue playing their favorite games on the system using an external hard drive or solid state drive. Furthermore, the PS5 will be rocking a CPU and GPU made by AMD with 8 Zen 2 Cores at 3.5Ghz, 10.28 TFLOPs, 36 CUs at 2.23GHz respectively and 16GB of GDDR6/256-bit RAM with a massive 825 GB SSD to boot.
