Pinoy-made RPG Grand Guilds Hits Steam and Nintendo eShop
Grand Guilds a turn-based tactical RPG made by Filipino developer Justin “Drix” Villegas is now out on Steam, the Nintendo eShop for Switch, and Utomik.
Starting its development thru Kickstarter, Grand Guilds is story-driven with a unique card combat system that allows players to fill roles such as tank, support, and damage dealer for their team. Grand Guilds follows the adventures of Eliza and her companions hoping to prevent the outbreak of war on the continent of Irin.
Grand Guilds comes as the second title of Drix Studios following Unaided: 1939 in 2016. According to the game studio, the tactical RPG follows in the footsteps of Final Fantasy, XCOM, and Adventure Time which eventually led to Villegas creating Grand Guilds, “an SRPG with CCG mechanics”.
