Esports AcadArena’s stream donation campaign Starforge began yesterday, April 17 as students and pros from universities nationwide played their hearts out for charity.
For the Homecoming series, the former Ateneo de Manila University’s Azure Eagles took down their successor in LG Esports Frost with their signature picks in Ezreal and Graves. Meanwhile, the former champions of the LCL, the University of the Philippines Diliman’s Oblation Esports, fell to the newer generation with their niche Xin Zhao pick dominating in the jungle. Lastly, the 2019 Teletigers beat their 2015 counterparts in a close 34-minute base race to finish off the night’s games.
The games were then followed by a podcast with Liyab and EAA on the effects of COVID-19 to esports and a one-for-all community showmatch with guest appearances from Liyab’s players.
