NCAA Considering Mobile Legends, NBA 2K, for Next Season
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has reportedly mulled over including esports in the tournament’s reduced calendar next season.
“We’re seriously considering holding e-games or e-sports should and when we be allowed to open the NCAA this season,” says Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s incoming management committee chairman Fr. Vic Calvo. “It is best for everyone because it is safer for our athletes as well as for everyone.”
Mobile Legends and NBA 2K are among the esports titles considered for inclusion.
With cost-cutting and social distancing as top priorities, the NCAA currently plans on including only basketball, volleyball, track and field, and swimming in next season’s reduced calendar.
