Ateneo College Dept. Officially Supports Video Games and Esports
The Ateneo de Manila University’s Department of Information Systems and Computer Science has partnered with collegiate esports organization LG Esports.
LG Esports is a rising collegiate esports initiative in the Ateneo de Manila University. With DISCS’ support, Ateneo de Manila University is among the first to officially support video games and esports in the collegiate scene.
LG Esports is partnered with Esports AcadArena and is a member of its campus esports program, Alliance. The Alliance program is a national network and support system for campus esports orgs and programs.
“The Department of Information Systems and Computer Science enthusiastically supports LG in its pursuit in gaming and beyond. We are excited to see a positive force amidst today’s challenges.”, said Dr. Andrei Coronel, Deparment Chair of DISCS.
Through AcadArena’s help, LG Esports has been able to launch projects for their student community and secure their partnership with DISCS. If you want to join the Alliance, go here.
