The Madrigal Project: A Free Course for Aspiring Esports Broadcasters
Esports industry professionals are coming together to present The Madrigal Project, a free online course for aspiring esports broadcasters.
The Madrigal Project will run over the course of six (6) to eight (8) weeks with registrations on-going from August 12-23, 2020. The online course will be accommodating five free-for-all slots and three reserved slots for students.
In partnership with Esports AcadArena, trainees who perform well will be able to secure gigs under the campus esports program’s events. Furthermore, members of their Alliance program will get priority for the reserved slots for the students.
“AcadArena believes in learning through practice. There’s nothing fully preparing you for a broadcast other than an actual broadcast. We want to extend the experience and opportunity through the Madrigal Project.” Ariane Lim, Co-founder and Director of Student Programs of the AcadArena.
The Madrigal Project is the brainchild of radio DJ turned esports talent Daniel “Leo” Cubangay. The program will accept only up to 8 applicants, wherein one of those slots is reserved for a female applicant to encourage diversity in the casting scene.
Renmar the Reptar, Prof B, Midnight, Sh1n Boo, Wolf Casts, and Butters are among the announced instructors and resource speakers for the modules.
