ONLY ONE WILL REMAIN UNDEFEATED: AURA PH VS. BREN ESPORTS
In Sunday night’s spotlight match, two titans were set to face off in Week 2’s most awaited match. Both teams came in prepared, knowing exactly who they were about to face.
A quick 10:54 Game 1 set the pace for the series, as Bren dominated in kills 14-7, and towers 8-0. Karltzy shone with a game-high six kills. Pheww’s Pharsa (4/1/8) also performed well with an 86% Kill Participation. The defending champions seemed to have a hard time recovering as they struggled to keep up in Game 2. Early aggression led to kills and uncontested objectives with Bren taking a Lord, three Turtles and eight of Aura’s towers, leaving them in the dust. Karltzy once again was huge, this time going 7/1/2 on Lancelot, who had almost half of his team’s kills (15).
Aura on the other hand, were only able to pick off three kills from Bren. With this win, and their other 2-0 victory against Omega PH in Week 2 Day 1, Bren remained undefeated in the standings.
THE VETERANS DUKE IT OUT: EXECRATION VS. CIGNAL ULTRA
Two other teams who have veteran experience in the league closed out Week 2.
Despite a fairly close early game with both teams evened up in kills (6) and towers (3), Execration had the 2k gold lead at the 10 minute mark. After securing Lord and getting a pick off onto Bensanity and ImbaDeejay in the jungle, Exe were knocking on Cignal’s base a minute later. Although Cignal were able to defend their base, a couple of chaotic teamfights later, Exe secured the win. Employing an Alice offlane which other teams like BREN have been utilizing, Execration had the upper hand.
Game 2 painted a similar picture; both teams traded blows with Exe coming out slightly on top with 1 kill, 2 towers, and 3.4k gold up at the 10-minute mark. However, Ch4knu on Atlas (0/2/12) popped off with huge engages, with Hate’s Roger (5/0/9) and E2max’s Cecilion (4/0/8) cleaning up with the damage. In the end, it was another 2-0 win for the day.
