Breaking Records: Nexplay Solid vs Execration
At the start of the season, Nexplay Solid debuted in an explosive fashion, getting a 2-0 win and attracting over 248k viewers. This time, up against crowd favorites Execration, and with the return of Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso, fans were eager to see this matchup deliver. All 672,000 of them.
NXP and Exe split games 1 and 2, with players from both teams stepping up like H2wo’s 7/1/11 Harith in a decisive Game 1 and Bennyqt’s 8/3/16 Alice in a bloody Game 2. With so much on the line, over half a million fans tuned in to see how this clash would come to an end.
Game 3 started with NXP putting their foot on the pedal, getting early kills with fast rotations and aggressive plays. They dominated for the first 10 minutes, where they were up 13-4 in kills and had an 8k gold lead. Four members of NXP were knocking on Exe’s base but E2MAX’s heroic defense helped them stay in the game. A few minutes later, NXP took the Lord and locked their sights onto Execration’s bottom lane Inhibitor Turret. They tried to siege but Execration manage to pull off their miracle teamfight, kicked off by a pivotal Fatal Links by Ch4knu. Exe took down all five members of Nexplay, only losing the Atlas, and four strong ran it down mid to complete the comeback and get the 2-1 win.
Complete domination: Bren Esports Domination
BREN Esports came off Week 3 with a hot streak, completing two 2-0 wins to stay undefeated. BREN looked absolutely dominant in their games this week, with a bloody series against BSB filled with fights left and right, and a commanding victory against Execration.
Karltzy looked particularly strong in their series against Execration in Day 3, who had 6/1/11 and 15/3/6 performances on Lancelot and Yi-Sun Shin. Ribo and Lusty also stepped up, with 28.0 and 16.5 KDAs in that series, respectively. Meanwhile, Flaptzy posted up 14 kills and 7 assists in Game 1 against BSB, only dying three times. Pheww on his Pharsa comfort pick, still did well despite his 19 deaths in three games, where he still put up 17 kills and 42 assists.
Bren’s individual talent coupled with strong teamplay and macro helped elevate them to the top of the standings where they sit undefeated at 5-0.
