Fnatic and Gen. G rise above the Group of Death to qualify for the Worlds 2020 Quarterfinals!

Touted as one of the hardest pools to predict, Fnatic (5-1) and Gen. G (4-2) made it out of Group C as the 1st and 2nd seed respectively. In Week 1, Fnatic, Gen. G, and LGD were in a three-way tie that set the pace for the group earlier on. However, LGD dropped the ball in the following week while TSM couldn’t even find a single win in the Group Stage.

Throughout Worlds 2020, Gen. G have looked stronger and stronger after each game despite being the League of Legends Champions Korea’s last seed. With their strong core bot lane in Ruler and Life, Gen. G have found new life in the Group Stage with consistently good performances. Gen. G, which was previously Samsung Galaxy, hope to claim another Championship for themselves at Worlds 2020.

Meanwhile, Fnatic have been performing a tier above their domestic performance in the LEC with the meta fully suiting their jungler Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek’s playstyle. With their team in full throttle, Fnatic look poised to deepen their run at Worlds 2020 and hope to regain their success in Worlds past.
