Filipino Tekken 7 pros AK, Jules, and Adrian, took 1st, 2nd, and 4th places respectively in the Top Clans 2020 invitational this October 18. The players took home a large prize of the invitational’s winnings. Filipinos dominated the Tekken 7 side of the invitational.
Top Spots at Top Clans
As seen on Top Clans’ page, the Filipino winners of their Tekken 7 invitational have taken the 1st, 2nd and 4th slots. Similar to his run in this year’s The Nationals, AK has also won the whole invitational first place. Coming in at second place, is Jules who also participated in The Nationals as a player for Smart Omega.
Lastly, Secret Base’s Adrian won 4th place in the invitational. This young competitor is one of the phenoms of the local Tekken 7 scene. Adrian previously represented the STI eOlympians back in the 2019 leg of The Nationals.
For the Country
Together, the three winners pooled around $3,750 worth of prize money. The champion, AK, brought home $2,500. Meanwhile, Jules won around $1,250. Lastly, Adrian took $500 for his 4th place win.
More than prizes, these local Tekken 7 champions proved that the Philippine scene is one of the best in the Southeast Asia region. Among the top placers, the 3rd placer, Yoodo FV|Zaba, is the only one of the top placers in the invitational and hails from Malaysia.
Most of the top placers in this invitation were also top contenders of the Tekken 7 leg of this year’s The Nationals. Filipino players dominated the competition in this invitational.
The Tekken 7 invitational was only one of the many events of the Top Clans 2020 invitational. Other games in the Top Clans 2020 SEA Invitational include Dota 2, Marvel Super War, Tom and Jerry: Chase, and other titles from its main sponsor, Netease Games.
