Cignal Ultra Warriors Beat STI eOlympians 3-1 to Win Second Straight The Nationals Title
The Cignal Ultra Warriors put on a spectacular display to win back-to-back The Nationals titles but their path to victory wasn’t as smooth-sailing as many would have expected.
The STI eOlympians were the absolute bane of Cignal Ultra’s existence as they were the only team the Warriors haven’t beaten all season; they settled for a draw twice in the group stages and lost to the eOlympians 2-1 in the upper bracket final.
Cignal Ultra had to go through the lower bracket to keep their title hopes alive and they passed the test with flying colors by dispatching the Happy Feet Emperors 2-1.
At last, the stage was set for a grand final that would serve as a fitting conclusion to the season and to the Cignal-STI rivalry.

Cignal Ultra took the first two games with relative ease but STI rallied to pull a game back and bring their deficit down to one. The eOlympians were poised to take the series to a deciding game five but an insane Aegis steal from Erice Guerra flipped the game on its head and turned the tide to Cignal’s favor.
From then on Cignal Ultra never looked back and wrapped up the title after 43 minutes. Champions Cignal Ultra take home PHP 500,000, a significant portion of the PHP 1 million prize pool, while runners-up STI eOlympians get PHP 250,000. The final standings for The Nationals Season 2 are:
- Cignal Ultra
- STI eOlympians
- Happy Feet Emperors
- Laus Auto Group Playbook Esports
- Smart Omega
- Bren Epro
