Envy, 100T, Renegades, and Sentinels Qualify for First Strike North America
Team Envy, 100 Thieves, Renegades, and Sentinels are moving on to the main tournament after finishing Top 4 in the Qualifiers of First Strike North America.
The aforementioned teams took Top 4 in the recently concluded Nerd Street Gamers Qualifiers, with Envy taking the championship after defeating 100 Thieves in the finals, 3-0.Sentinels and Renegades dropped to 100T and Envy respectively in the semis, both being 2-1 games.
After Envy’s 2nd place finish to Sentinels in the Pop Flash Tournament in August, the team picked up food and crashies. The two left T1 after a tumultuous Ignition Series run. They finished second in their group, only dropping a series to Sentinels. After that they breezed through the brackets, with a 2-0 sweep of Complexity in the Quarters, a 2-1 outing against Renegades, and the 3-0 sweep against Hiko and the 100 Thieves in the Finals. The Boomers of 100T did well for themselves as well, beating out NA powerhouses TSM and Sentinels.
The remaining Top 5 to 8 teams in the NSG Qualifiers get automatic invites to the second qualifiers, the UMG Qualifiers happening on November 18th. Those teams are Cloud9 Blue, Complexity Gaming, T1, and Team Solomid.
The main event for First Strike North America will go down on December 3. First Strike is Riot Games’ first-party premier Valorant tournament series, determining the best team in every region.
