Team SoloMid took first place at the second Qualifying Tournament for Valorant First Strike North America after a 2-1 victory over FaZe Clan. For Europe, following two Qualifying tournaments, the Grand Finals for the Valorant First Strike European Leg now has its participating teams; G2 Esports, Team Liquid, FunPlus Phoenix, SUMN PC, nolpenki, Prodigy, Purple Cobras, and Team heretics.

Both teams in the finals qualified to the First Strike NA Finals, as well as T1 and Immortals, despite dropping in the semifinals.

The four teams will be joining Team Envy, 100 Thieves, Sentinels, and Renegades in the Valorant First Strike North America Grand Finals, the first first-party Valorant tournament hosted by Riot Games. They will be competing for a US$ 100,000 Prize Pool, and the rights to call themselves NA’s best.

Notably missing from the tournament are esteemed teams like Cloud9 and Gen.G, who fell short in both qualifiers. With promising talent and a big org to their name, those teams were expected to be on top with some of the best. Other teams who were expected to go far were Complexity Gaming and Luminosity Gaming.

Valorant First Strike North America Finals begins December 3rd. Don’t miss out by watching on the Valorant NA Esports Twitch Channel.

Despite the first three teams being recognizable names in the esports scene, the other names are lesser-known. For SUMN PC, nolpenki, and Purple Cobras, they are currently org-less teams, some with former CS:GO pros. Team Heretics on the other hand, is a Spanish esports org with teams in CS:GO, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six, and Fortnite. Prodigy is a talent representation agency who has talents signed with other orgs, like G2’s mixwell, 100T’s nitr0 and steel, and most of the roster of Team Liquid, even back when they were playing as fish123.

The Valorant First Strike European Grand Finals starts December 12, where the winner receives €30,000 of the €85,000 Prize Pool and will be crowned the best of EU Valorant. You can catch all the action in the new Valorant EU Esports Twitch Channel.
