Vietnam Tops MPGL 6 Group A, 3 Philippine Teams in Top 6
In an unexpected fashion, Vietnamese team Nvidia.Aces topped the Group A of the Mineski Pro Gaming League (MPGL) VI Grand Finals unscathed.
The Vietnamese team overwhelmed fellow Southeast Asian (SEA) teams: Indonesian team Joe Elite Team, GSe7en (Myanmar), Insidious Idol (Singapore), Thailand’s Awake team and two Filipino teams, Execration and MSI.Evo GT TRIC. They finished the group stages with a clean 6-0 record.
Meanwhile, three Philippine teams secured their top 6 spot. Execration placed second in group A, while group B ended in a three-way-tie between MPGL PH Champions Arcanys (PH), Korea based Rave (PH) and one of the fan favorites to win the tournament, Team Malaysia (MY). The top two of group B was decided via time difference, securing the slots of both Philippine teams in the winner’s bracket.
