Mineski Pro Gaming League Season VI Live Blog – Day Two
UPDATE: We’ve updated this article to reflect changes to the tournament format.
Southeast Asian (SEA) Dota 2 action continues on the second day of the Mineski Pro Gaming League (MPGL) Season VI. If you want to be part of the action, you can head over to Sky Dome at SM City, North Edsa. If you can’t make it to the venue, don’t worry. You can rely on our live blog to keep you posted.
The brackets so far
On the second day of the tournament, some changes to the format were implemented due to some feedback from the teams in the winner’s bracket, Arcanys and Rave. The tournament will now follow the traditional double elimination format.

Rave is going to the grand finals!
After an explosive best-of-three match, Rave will head to the grand finals of MPGL VI after a 2-0 win against Arcanys! But the road doesn’t end here for Arcanys, as they will drop to the loser’s bracket. Will they get revenge on Rave in the grand finals or will the other teams stop them instead?

Nvidia.Aces caused another surprise of the tournament, eliminating fan favorite Team Malaysia, 2-1. Nvidia.Aces, who earlier topped Group A during the group stage with an immaculate 6-0 standing, dropped to the Loser’s bracket by Rave (PH) yesterday. Aces will face the MPGL PH Champions, Arcanys Gaming, in the Loser’s bracket finals.

Arcanys versus Nvdia.Aces Game One: MightySavior carries Arcanys to victory with Phantom Assassin
MightySavior carrying his team with a heavily farmed, Beyond Godlike Phantom Assassin throwing critical strikes all over the place! Arcanys has taken game one, but judging by Nvdia.Aces’ streak this tournament, forcing a game three for this series isn’t entirely impossible.
The Macho Man Look Contest 2014
Following last year’s MPGL, Eri Neeman once again hosts the Macho Man Look Contest with this year’s contestants: Jeyo, Johnny and KyXy. To those who don’t understand the concept of the Macho Man look, watching this video from last year’s MPGL will help.
Although Winter wasn’t able to defend his title, fellow Malaysian KyXy took this year’s title. That’s when things got even more interesting. After winning the contest, KyXy was asked to once again perform his winning macho man look. He humbly declined and pointed out that his girlfriend was watching and in the front row no less. Eri Neeman then called KyXy’s girlfriend on stage and asked to perform his winning macho man look for her instead.
