Newbee, Vici Gaming pulls out of Starladder X Finals
Two top-tier Chinese Dota 2 teams, Newbee and Vici Gaming, have pulled out from Starladder X.
The main reasons are security purposes and the safety of the players. The decisions made are precautions from the Ukraine crisis that hasn’t dispersed yet.
Starladder has yet to announce the team to replace the Chinese squad as the LAN finals is set to stage a few weeks from now.

UPDATE:
Starladder announced that the Chinese teams will be replaced by Cloud 9 and Virtus Pro respectively. The Chinese teams have difficulties in acquiring the needed documents, especially the passports.
Statement from Starladder:
“Unfortunately, all our arguments have not been able to solve the problems. Overlapping each other, circumstances proved insurmountable resulting in too many players NewBee and Vici Gaming were not able to attend the LAN finals in Kiev. We bring deepest apologies to all the fans and the fans at the same time, ask them to get in position and understand the situation. Force majeure always happen at the most inopportune moment. We hope that in the next season, all problems will be solved and the strongest Chinese team will be able to visit our championship, where they will undoubtedly waiting appreciative audience. “
Statement from Vici Gaming:
“Due to lack of time to prepare for a visa after ESL, as well as due to the unstable political situation in Ukraine, taking care of the health and safety of the players, after much discussion, it was decided to give our slot on the tenth season SLTV. We apologize to the organization for the inconvenience, we ask for forgiveness from all the fans and sponsors. We hope you understand our position.”
Statement from Newbee:
“Several players Newbee lost their passports, but because there is a lack of time for their recovery and getting Ukrainian visa. Leave the slot on the finals SL10 was naschim only option. We apologize to the fans and sponsors, the future will show NewBee flawless game in order to regain the trust of fans and be forgiven.”
Cloud 9 and Virtus.Pro landed 5th and 6th place in the Europe division, thus filling the empty slots from the Chinese Division.
